Corvette driver injured in Genoa accident

The driver of a red Corvette was taken for medical treatment after a single vehicle accident Saturday on Jacks Valley Road north of the entrance to Genoa Lakes.

According to personnel on the scene, the driver was conscious and breathing when he was loaded into the ambulance.

The accident occurred at about 10 a.m. Residents said they heard screeching tires and then emergency vehicle sirens.

No one else was injured in the accident that left the vehicle upside down in a dry ditch along the east side of the road.

The motorist made a right turn onto Jacks Valley Road and then drove off the road and into a tree, which flipped the vehicle.

The Nevada Highway Patrol also reported an injury accident at Highway 395 and Toler Lane at 8:05 a.m.
