Tigers face key games down stretch

Three games remain on the Douglas High boys basketball team’s regular season schedule, and each one is going to be critical for the Tigers in their quest for the playoffs. Douglas dropped a 78-57 decision Tuesday night at McQueen and fell to 7-6 in Sierra League play (11-9 overall). The Tigers remained tied with Carson for third-place in the league standings. Carson lost Tuesday at Spanish Springs, 43-42. The Tigers face yet another important test Friday at home against Bishop Manogue, a 68-52 winner over Reno Tuesday to move within one game of Douglas and Carson. The Tigers have now …
