CVMS wins volleyball title

The Carson Valley Middle School seventh grade volleyball team wrapped up a successful season by sweeping to championship honors at the recent Tah-Neva League Tournament in Carson City.

The Tigers ended their season with a 13-2 record for first-place in the league, followed by the tournament championship. CVMS won the tourney final in three games against Alder Creek (Truckee), 25-19, 22-25, 15-10.

Earlier in the tournament, the Tigers opened with a victory against Whittell in two straight sets, 25-9 and 25-14, and then defeated Incline in the semifinals in two games, 25-14 and 25-21.

During league play, the Tigers only lost matches against Pau-Wa-Lu and Alder Creek.
