Two hurt in Highway 395 wrecks

A Gardnerville man was taken for medical treatment after his pickup hit a large rock alongside Highway 395 on Friday morning. Tyler Earl Stater, 28, was northbound on Highway 395 when he lost control of his 2005 Dodge pickup, crossed the centerline and hit a large rock, according to Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Dan Lopez. Stater was taken by East Fork ambulance to Carson Valley Medical Center where CareFlight flew him to Renown Regional Medical Center. Lopez said the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
