Storm warning calls for snow in Valley

A winter storm warning is in effect for early Tuesday morning for Western Nevada, according to the National Weather Service. The storm warning was issued at 2:47 p.m. and called for periods of light rain and snow, early Tuesday morning, quickly turning to heavy snow behind a cold front. Snow will be most intense 7-10 a.m. with accumulations of 3-6 inches with 8 inches above 8,000 feet. Snow levels will start at 6,000 feet early Tuesday morning and fall to the Valley floor at 6-8 a.m., according to the forecast.
