The R-C Morning Report for Nov. 19

Having failed to sell Kingsbury Middle School for the current asking price of $4 million, school board trustees will discuss adjusting the sale price by 5-10 percent at today’s Douglas County School Board meeting, 3:30 p.m. at Douglas High School in Minden. The school has been on the market for the better part of two years.

Tioga and Sonora passes were closed on Monday. Sonora Pass is expected to reopen on Friday, though it’s near time to close it for the season. Last year the passes didn’t close until mid-December,

As of 7 a.m. today, not a drop of rain has fallen in Western Nevada, according to the National Weather Service radar. The main body of the storm is over Oroville, and appears to be breaking up on the Sierra. It’s also pretty warm in ahead of the front with 46 degrees this morning. We can expect about a quarter inch of rain if the storm ever makes it over the mountains.
