Douglas falls short in overtime, 19-13

After surrendering 230 yards in the first half on Friday night, Carson High’s defense pitched a second-half shutout and the Senators capped an undefeated Sierra League season with a 19-13 overtime win over arch-rival Douglas at Keith Roman Field. The teams were tied at 13 in regulation, and Joey Thurman’s 2-yard run in the first overtime period turned out to be the game-winner as Carson (7-2 overall, 4-0 Sierra League) completed its regular season.
