Volleyball loses to Damonte

The Douglas High volleyball team lost 3-0 at Damonte Ranch on Tuesday night. The Mustangs, who were battling Carson for the Sierra League’s fourth and final playoff berth, won by game scores of 25-18, 29-27, 25-16.

Ariah Barth and Kristina Barnum had 9 and 8 kills respectively for Douglas. Nikki Hamada distributed 17 assists and Shelby Van Winkle 8.


Douglas (25-2 overall record) continued its momentum with a 2-1 win. The Tigers won 25-20, 21-25, 15-10.

Emma Sperry had a double-double with 16 assists and 12 service points for the Tigers. Seven different players had kills and nine contributed in the digs column.


Douglas (18-10) swept to a 2-0 victory, winning 25-14, 25-18. Allison Dodd had 10 points from the service line. Eight different players contributed kills and nine had digs.
