Golf tournament to benefit wounded veterans

The Americans for Wounded Veterans benefit golf tournament is 8:30 a.m. Sept. 7, at Silver Oak Golf Course in Carson City. Organizer Tina Luce, whose son Daniel Tingle was injured in Baghdad in January 2007, said she planned the tournament to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. “I know what the Wounded Warrior Project does for warriors and their families,” Luce said. “It doesn’t just stop with the wounded party, it’s endless. They provide much needed assistance for families, provide therapy, help with prosthetics — they just kind of bring families back together.” Tingle, his wife and their two children moved …
