$250,000 bail for shooting suspect

Bail is $250,000 for a 44-year-old Topaz Ranch Estates man charged with attempted murder with use of a deadly weapon in last week’s shooting of an acquaintance who suffered a superficial shoulder wound. Gary Wesley Wilson appeared Monday in custody for arraignment on the charge which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison upon conviction. Wilson shook his head as East Fork Judge Tom Perkins read the charge against him. Wilson is accused of shooting the victim with a .22-caliber rifle loaded with birdshot as the man sat in his vehicle, and attempted to run away. The shooting …
