Softball: Damonte Ranch takes two from Lady Tigers

Damonte Ranch, considered to be the best softball team in Northern Division I this season, put together a doubleheader sweep of the Douglas Tigers in Reno Saturday afternoon, keeping its perfect league record in tat. The Mustangs won 4-0 and 8-6, dropping Douglas’ season record to 14-9 overall and 6-4 in Northern Division I play. In Game 1, Allison Meyer led the Tiger offense, going 3-for-3 with a triple. Leonna Mortimer, Kelly Sonnemann, Taylor McKinnon and Maddie Parks all collected singles and the Tigers outhit Damonte 7-5.
