A 27-year-old Carson City woman was identified as the victim in a fatal pedestrian accident in the capital on Sunday night. Celeste Santens was killed 11 p.m. St. Patrick’s Day on Highway 50 near Airport Road. She was struck and killed by a black 1999 Ford Expedition as she attempted to walk across the four-lane highway, according to NHP trooper Chuck Allen. The driver of the Expedition, 48-year-old Cynthia A. Munroe of Dayton, fled the crash scene and was located a short time later in Dayton.
