John and Glenn Watson were the Flight A winners Sunday during a Carson Valley Men’s Golf Club two-man team tournament.
The Watsons carded a score of 98 to take first-place in the best ball format — one ball on the front nine and two balls on the back nine — at the Carson Valley Golf Course. Glenn Watson also emerged as closest-to-the-pin winner on the 18th hole.
The team of Dennis Morris and Charles Poe finished one shot behind at 99 for second-place in the flight, while Kenny Smetreski and Marc Prause took third-place with their score of 101.
Frank Tisiot and Frank Temple carded a 93 to win Flight B by five shots. Bruce Sanford and Roger Hala took second-place with a score of 98 while Neil Bain and Jim Travernier finished third at 103.
Other closest-to-the-pin winners included G. Paulson on No. 1, Dan Essary on No. 5, Poe on No. 13 and Bob Pemberton on No. 17.
