Christmas fireworks return

Fireworks will be back for Gardnerville’s Christmas kick-off in Heritage Park next month, but it will be a day later this year. Town board members approved a proposal for the town’s health and sanitation department on Tuesday night to pay for the Dec. 5 show with the help of sponsors. Town Manager Tom Dallaire said the show would cost about $8,000, but that they’ve already received more than $1,600 in donations. “We need sponsors,” vice chairwoman Linda Slater said.
