Thunderstorm fills up Buckeye Creek

A thunderstorm in the Pine Nut Mountains above Carson Valley sent rain, mud and ash down Buckeye Creek over the weekend. No major damage was reported from the deluge, which safely crossed East Valley Road. On Monday a crew was clearing mud off Orbit Way north of Buckeye Road. East Fork Fire Marshal Steve Eisele said the flooding was reported by Bently Security around midnight on Saturday.
