The R-C Morning Report for Feb. 11

A survey of Douglas County residents revealed overwhelming support for keeping both Carson Valley and Pau-Wa-Lu middle schools open after the freshman class returns to Douglas High School. School board trustees will discuss the survey and several other items at their meeting 3:30 p.m. today at Douglas High School. Public comment is at 6 p.m.

Douglas County Planning commissioners will catch up to the county commission on the temporary moratorium on medical marijuana establishments and signs for special occasion homes. They’ll also hear a report from the Carson Water Subconservancy. The planning commission meets 1 p.m. at the historic Douglas County Courthouse.

I didn’t see any fog, patchy or otherwise, on my way into work this morning. Expect partly sunny skies today with a high near 56 degrees. The wind will pick up a bit from the southwest.
