The RC Morning Report for April 18
April 18, 2013
Business Showcase today
Business Showcase is 3-7 p.m. today at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. There’ll be lots of swag available and, as always, an opportunity to meet and greet the people who do business in Carson Valley. The showcase is sponsored by the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce. Be sure to stop by the RC booth, where we’ll be giving out jar openers, I think.
Light commission meeting today
No doubt because they want to get to the showcase, Douglas County commissioners have a light meeting at Lake Tahoe today. Their scheduled to hear an update on the reorganization of the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources and the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension and the updated Douglas County Strategic Plan. Commissioners meet 1:30 p.m. in the Tahoe Transportation Center in Stateline. The meeting times out at 1 hour 15 minutes.
Another chilly morn
It’s 26 degrees out this morning, which is not quite as cold as Wednesday, but still pretty chilly. But that will be quite enough of that for the foreseeable future, as high pressure and warmer temperatures take over. Today’s high temperature is forecast to crack 60 and we’ll see temperatures in the 70s by next week.
