Storm brings snow to Valley

Carson Valley commuters awoke to slick roads this morning as a winter storm dropped an inch of snow on Thursday morning.

Minden weather watcher Stan Kapler said he recieved an inch of snow which amounted to .03 inches of moisture.

A jack-knifed truck and two vehicle accidents blocked Highway 395 on Jake’s Hill, climbing into the Pine Nuts south of Ruhenstroth, according to Trooper Chuck Allen of the Nevada Highway Patrol. Another accident happened on Highway 395 near Johnson Lane, while the remaining events took place on Highway 50 near Cave Rock and Spooner Summit.
