Douglas deputy struggles with armed man after Olive Garden incident

A man sought for brandishing a weapon at the Carson City Olive Garden on Sunday night was arrested at his Indian Hills home after a confrontation with a Douglas County Sheriff’s deputy. Sheriff’s deputies received a report at 8:55 p.m. that a man believed to be David Lane, 56, had pointed a handgun at employees of the restaurant. A deputy went to Lane’s home in time to see him pull up at 9:24 p.m. Facing the possibility that Lane was armed, the deputy drew his weapon and called out to him.
