The R-C Morning Report for March 20

Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School is hoping you’ll help them win $10,000 from Reno’s Dolan Auto Group. In order to participate you have to be on Facebook, and like the group and then you can vote. To be fair, when you vote the site will receive your public profile and friend list. Pau-Wa-Lu’s got 1,238 votes to Billinghurst’s 1,168, so it’s a tight race.

Part 2 of the state’s Kingsbury road show is 4-7 p.m. today at Douglas High School. The presentation is at 5:30 p.m.

If it’s spring it must be outdoor burning season. Firefighters are responding to a report of smoke this morning that might be a backyard burn. If you are going to burn, go to http://eastforkfire.org so you know the rules. Burning will continue until May 18, if the weather holds.

Spring officially kicks off at 9:54 a.m. today, and it’s already pretty warm outside. The forecast for the next week is for partly cloudy skies and warm temperatures and then clear through the weekend.
