Volunteer thanks

At this time, the beginning of the 2012 holiday season, the Ruhenstroth Volunteer Fire Department wanted to remember the anonymous doner who left a case of Christmas and holiday themed coffee mugs at our volunteer fire station’s door last Christmastime. The mugs were distributed to our eight to 10 active members. Thank you very much for your gift.

For this holiday season we wish the best to you and your families.

We sincerely hope you do not need the emergency services of East Fork Fire and Paramedic Districts professional or volunteer staff, but we all, as well as the 9-1-1 Communications staff, are as close as your telephone.

Please be “Ember aware” as well as “Ashes Aware” as our community (your homes and lands) are still very dry and able to combust and burn. Please again, be very aware that your stove or fireplace ashes are not “out” when cool and you must only temporarily store them in a good covered metal bucket with a sealed lid. And then bring them to a proper disposal such as the “ash barrels” at the local transfer station. A very small fee paid there to properly dump your ashes beats a very expensive and dangerous home or wildland interface fire. Thank you for reading and considering fire safety in all your holiday events.
