Trinity Lutheran men help City of Refuge

On a recent Saturday, members of the men’s ministry at Trinity Lutheran Church built a deck onto a cottage at the City of Refuge in Carson Valley.

The men raised $2,000 during their “Holy Smoker” fundraiser featuring a car show and barbecue which they used to purchase the deck materials.

Out of the 15 men that helped build the deck, five were contractors ensuring the deck would be built to specifications.

The deck is approximately 15-feet-by-15-feet and is made of redwood. The men put in a full day on the deck and will return in the near future to complete the stairs needed to access the deck.
