Thanks, Vail Resorts, for supporting Alpine ski club
April 29, 2014
The Diamond Valley School community in Alpine County would like to thank the Vail Resorts and Kirkwood Ski Resort in particular, for providing a wonderful skiing experience for our students.
During the month of March, the Kirkwood staff went above and beyond their duties to provide lessons, equipment, and lift tickets for our entire student body and supervising staff. Snow sports are new to many of our students.
Due to Vail’s generosity, these students were able to experience the wonders of skiing and boarding and the beauty of our county in an entirely new way.
Vail Resorts not only provided the equipment, lessons, and tickets, they provided funding to transport our children to the mountain for six days at a cost of $2,070.
Parents, students, and teachers who participated were overcome by the kindness, patience, and genuine positive attitude of the Kirkwood staff.
We are fortunate to have such a remarkable resort in our neighborhood that is so generous to our children.
So to John, Sam, Rebecca and all the individuals at Kirkwood, thanks again for providing this special opportunity for Alpine County students.
