Thanks for the rescue
November 13, 2012
I recently suffered an injury while horseback riding on BLM land in the Johnson Lane area. My riding partner was able to call 911 on her cell phone and get me help quickly from the East Fork Fire and Paramedic and then from CareFlight.
Due to the fast actions and professionalism shown me by these wonderful folks, I am happy to report that I am making great progress towards recovery. They showed excellent teamwork and treated me with respect, and they cared about my verbal input to them to help manage the horses and my broken leg.
I am especially happy that this “manpower” was available since the area where I was injured was challenging to find and access. Thanks to those who helped direct the paramedics and CareFlight to me.
We are fortunate to have these individuals working in Douglas County: Roy Minor, Adam Wennhold, Charles Fraser, Dennis Cote, Larry Goss, Jeff Marsh, Ron Santos, Zachary Pedersen, Matthew Kruse, Barb and the team on CareFlight.
With much gratitude,
