The Town of Minden and the Carson Valley Pops Orchestra, directed by Elizabeth Ann Eubanks, present their 2012 winter concert on Saturday.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the concert beginning at 7 p.m. in the CVIC Hall in Minden.

This year’s concert will celebrate multicultural seasonal selections as well as some all-time holiday standards and Christmas favorites. Special guests include the local vocal talents of Relaxed Fit, comprised of Roland Cambell, Kenyon Jarvis, Jon Rabben, and led by Ben Gillard.

Also featured in this year’s concert is the orchestra’s trumpet section, comprised of Cole Larson, Rich Sheldrew, and led by Bob Masters, who will be performing Leroy Anderson’s popular composition, “Bugler’s Holiday.”

Admission is free. There will be beer and wine available along with a holiday raffle.

“The purpose of the Carson Valley Pops Orchestra is to serve the community by bringing accessible, quality, music to the Carson Valley,” board members stated in a press release. “Thanks to community support and sponsors such as Martha Williams (Antiques Plus in Genoa), Timothy R. Stoll, D.D.S., Phil Stoll and of course, the Town of Minden.”
