Eastern Sierra ATV Jamboree attracts 200 riders
June 19, 2012
For four days last week, about 200 ATV riders came to our valley from all over to participate in the Eastern Sierra ATV Jamboree, with various daily trail rides in the eastern Sierra, starting from the Antelope Valley.
I have heard nothing but rave reviews from participants and sponsors about this event, so I’m sure that this will become a special yearly event, bringing people to enjoy our area and its variety of great things to see and do.
Coming up for the Fourth of July, Bridgeport will hold its annual parade, beginning at 10 a.m. on Main Street.
This is always a lot of fun for everyone, with a ton of activities, contests, and booths for people to enjoy besides the parade.
Parade and concert
July 5 at The Bridgeport Ranch Barns & Terrace on Twin Lakes Road, a concert by Dave Stamey will be taking place at 8 p.m.
There will also be a delicious barbecue dinner prepared by the Antelope Valley Lions Club starting at 6 p.m.
The cost to enjoy both the dinner and concert is $45 per person. For tickets and information, call (760) 545-7003 or (760) 721-3207.

The Relay will take place Saturday night, Aug. 4, at Lampe Park in Gardnerville.
It is a fun night with a lot of wonderful, giving people who are enjoying their participation for this cause.
This and that
The Walker Thrift Store has begun some summertime special sales.
The long-standing $5 bag sale will still be on the third week of each month, but these new sales on the other weeks will have certain items each week on sale at 50 percent off the regular price.
The July sales include purses, sporting goods, pictures, frames and wall decor.
It is well worth it to check them out and get a bargain.
