Former Assemblyman Kelly Kite complained to the Nevada Assembly Ethics Committee and the Democrat Secretary of State that Assemblyman Jim Wheeler’s candidate filing statement contained “discrepancies” regarding his dates of residency, a charge both offices found meritless.
It was recently pointed out to me that four (of five) of Kite’s own filing statements each list a different period of residency. And what did Assemblyman Wheeler do when presented with this news? He laughed. He did not file a complaint with the Secretary of State and then leak it to the press.
It’s a good thing for Kite that Democrat Secretary of State Ross Miller only investigates accusations brought by disgruntled Republicans instead of reading the candidate statements his office requires them to file.
