Gardnerville World War II veteran honored

This morning, the Nevada Society of Sons of the American Revolution will award their war service medal to Al Copley, 93, who fought in World War II. Al is a longtime Topaz Ranch Estates resident who moved up to Gardnerville recently. He fought in the China-Burma-India theater during the war. Al’s lived in Douglas County for a quarter century and has been a longtime subscriber to The Record-Courier. ■ ■ ■ Al’s a member of the society, which recognizes military veterans for their service by awarding certificates and medals to them, according to Northern Chapter Secretary-Treasurer Roger Linscott of Reno. …
