Thanks for senior academy

I want to publicly thank the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for presenting to the Seniors of this county the Law Enforcement Academy for Seniors the week of Sept. 9-13. The men and women of this department and private citizens took time from the many hats they wear on duty and personal time to share with us the services available to us and presented 20 mini-classes covering various aspects of their departments: Emergency Services, Patrol Unit Investigative Division, K-9, Triad, Mounted Posse, Search and Rescue and Youth Services were a few of the presentations. East Fork Firefighters and paramedics demonstrated equipment and services offered to all residents of the county. Each presenter took his or her time to answer the numerous questions participants asked.

I am truly impressed with and appreciative of all the time, enthusiasm and dedication all these individuals devote to the service of Douglas County.

Thank you for all you do for all of us.
