Ridealong great way to learn

I recently had the opportunity to take a ride along with Deputy Harker of the Douglas Country Sheriff’s Office. Harker talked me through everything he was doing and why he was doing it. I was amazed at how many different things he was able to pay attention to at the same time and the detail that he picked up was astounding. It was a very busy evening running from call to call and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

I would like to thank the sheriff’s office and the Leader of Douglas County program for giving me this opportunity. I would encourage anyone that is given the opportunity to jump on the chance as it is something you will never forget. It gives you a much different perspective when you are able to see the view out of the sheriff’s car versus the one of the sheriff’s car coming at you.
