Attention snail-mailers. Minden and Gardnerville have several strip malls with only a few businesses in each. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out which business is which, with usually good signs out front. I recently snail-mailed a letter to a business with its sign prominently displayed in a prominently-located small strip mall. Letter got returned for “insufficient address” because it didn’t contain the unit number. Postal person would have had to be severely vision-impaired not to have known to which business the letter was meant to be delivered. A call to the Gardnerville post office for an explanation resulted in the robo-response that all addresses must contain the unit number. I can see that as an excuse for a large, multi-business location but this is simply silly. Another example of government defined as lack of common sense and initiative.
