Blessed is the Meeks

What a spectacular evening was had by 110 ladies on May 30 at Meeks Lumber’s Ladies Nite. Many of us make it a semi-annual event, greeting and meeting each other at this wonderful community event.

We made wood flower pot hangers, which included the hanger, two clay pots, soil and plants. It was enjoyed by all. Then a wonderful meal of pasta salad, rolls, cookies, lemon, lime bars and sodas.

The salad had chicken, tomatoes, broccoli, peppers and was a meal in itself.

Then to top it off, we all received fabulous, valuable door prizes and parting gifts.

Not one person left without receiving a door prize. What an evening of fun.

As always, the employees went out of their way to be helpful and courteous to each and every one of us.

Over the years that I have attended, the event grows and grows as the word is spread of this complimentary event for the community.

There will be another in November and I can’t wait.

Thanks Meeks and staff as you add another evening of enjoyment to my life in the Carson Valley.
