Douglas safe thanks to Pierini

Editor:

Some years ago our family moved from our crime-ridden hometown (police did not respond to a drive-by shooting unless a person was hit) to Douglas County.

We found a place which was virtually crime free, a place where some of the people did not even lock their homes. Over the years Sheriff Pierini has assembled a group of well-trained, professional men and women and a staff command that has been trained by national law enforcement agencies. He has been trained by national law enforcement agencies. He has been proactive in keeping gang violence out of our community with his support of DARE and GREAT programs. Yes, we have a safe community. Why would I want to vote for anyone else for Douglas County sheriff?
