Obituary: Jack H. Kingsbury


Jack Kingsbury passed away Nov. 22, 2012 in Carson City, Nev. in a nursing home after a long illness. Jack was born on May 30, 1928 in Kokedale, Colo. to Harry and Nanalee Kingsbury. While attending UC Berkeley, he was drafted into the Army and served in Korea. After returning home, he continued his schooling and earned a Masters Degree in Education. He spent thirty years as a teacher, principal and school administrator of elementary education. After retiring, he had enjoyed skiing, fishing, golfing, and traveling in the United States.

He will be missed by his wife of sixty years, Junea (Jay) Kingsbury; daughters, Karen (Mark) Rauterkus, Kelly (Jack) Drew; grandchildren, Brett (Janelle) Rauterkus, Josh Rauterkus, Katie Drew, Justin Drew; and great-grandchildren, Avery and Harper.

No services are scheduled. FitzHenry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the final arrangements.
