Lawrence “R” Lutz

February 6, 1933 – December 2, 2013

Lawrence "R" Lutz, also known as Larry Lutz was born Feb 6, 1933 in Santa Ana, CA of Howard Arthur Lutz and Helen Francis Smiley (Lutz), passed away December 2, 2013 in his home of natural causes at the age of 80. Larry served in the Military Reserves and Graduated from Cal State. While attending school he met his lifelong sweetheart, and future wife, Marilyn Lewis at a dance. They were married June 26, 1954 in Fullerton, California. Larry joined Anaheim Fire Department in 1956 where he served for 30 years, retiring as a Captain in 1986 for the City of Anaheim. Following Larry's retirement from the Fire Department, Larry and Marilyn moved to Gardnerville, Nevada where Larry was called to serve as a Bishop in the LDS church in Gardnerville. Larry was always quick to help others and had a sense of humor and quick wit along with a sincere directness that made him beloved by those whose lives he touched. Larry is survived by His wife Marilyn Lutz, their four children, Lawrence Randall Lutz, Loralyn Jost, Debra Lorene Matthews, Steven Andrew Lutz, his sister Linda Grace Lutz. Services will be held at the LDS Church at Job's Peak ward located at 891 Mahogany in Minden, Nevada on Tuesday December 10, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Donations may be made to Muscular Dystrophy. Larry's remains will be interred at Fairhaven Memorial in Santa Ana, California.
