Grant Lundergreen

July 3, 1925 – June 18, 2014

Grant Lundergreen was born in Gardnerville to Edward and Bertha Lundergreen. He was preceded in death by wife Beverly, daughter Susan, stepdaughter Jane and brother Roy (Fritz) Lundergreen. He is survived and loved by sons Jim and Joe Lundergreen, stepsons James Lee and Paul Graham, sisters, Ruth Spikes and Shirley Jones and brother John Lundergreen. Also 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. After retirement from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. he was very proud of the time he served as Captain of the Color Guard of the VFW Post #4647 3300 U St., Antelope, Calif., 95843. He graduated from Douglas County High School with the class of 1943 and was immediately drafted by the U.S. Army and served in Ceylon until the end of WWII. A local memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gardnerville on Oct. 11 at 11 AM. A family only burial will follow at Garden Cemetery in Gardnerville.
