Carole Ann Pitt of Minden, NV passed away at her home Friday, November 11, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Carole, the daughter of the late Frederick and Rose Dillenkofer of Dunkirk, NY was born on February 9, 1931. United in Holy Matrimony to William (Bill) Pitt in 1954 in Dunkirk, NY.
Carole graduated from Dunkirk High School and after marrying, lived in Long Island and Schenectady, NY for a few years before finally settling in San Jose, CA, where she and Bill lived for 42 years raising their family. While in San Jose, Carole was an active member in her church and community-St. Francis Cabrini Church, St. Christopher's Church and School, O'Connor Hospital Auxiliary, and Revidio Book Club.
She enjoyed playing the organ, watching baseball, loved Tom Brady and the Patriots, and even coached a soccer team.
Carole and Bill moved to Minden, NV in 1998 and enjoyed a peaceful retirement together. Carole devoted her life to her husband, family, God, Our Lady, and St. Jude. To know her was to love her. Carole was preceded in death by her sister Joan Dillenkofer Link (and Joan's husband -Robert) of Fredonia NY.

Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her 4 children: William Pitt Jr. (Wife-Donna Kent) of Stoughton, MA.; Charles Pitt of Tualatin, OR.; Mary Pitt David (husband-Paul) of Los Angeles; and Eric Pitt (wife-Jennifer) of Tualatin, OR. 8 Grandchildren: Christopher Pitt, Andrew Pitt, Anthony Pitt, Kaitlyn Pitt, Rachel David, William David, Victoria Pitt, and Emily Pitt. Great grandson: Greysen Pitt.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Carole's memory to the following charities dear to Carole's heart.
