The R-C Morning Report for Dec. 23

It’s a race between the sun and the snow to see if there’s any white left in Carson Valley for Christmas. With high temperatures approaching 50 during the day, I’d say the odds are in favor of the sun.

There’s a little fog out this morning in the Valley, but not so much as it obscures driving. The National Weather Service is saying it’s worse around Truckee, with visibilities dropping down to a quarter of a mile and a thin sheet of ice on the pavement.

Expect mostly sunny skies today with a high near 51. There won’t be much of a breeze today and what there is will die down in the afternoon.
