The R-C Morning Report for Oct. 25

The California Highway Patrol did an aircraft speed enforcement Thursday on Highway 395 through Mono County catching four people for driving more than 11 mph over the 65 mph speed limit. I know the NHP, Douglas and Carson will be watching for speeders, so take it easy on the roads this weekend

They’re doing the first minting of the Sesquicentennial medallion at the Nevada State Museum 10:30 a.m. today, if you’ve got a hankering to watch the coin press work.

We’ll be shifting from summer to fall on the turn of a dime on Monday when a front passes through taking high temperatures down to the upper 40s and 50s. Snow levels may fall to the Valley floors on Monday night, though there won’t be much moisture with the storm.

But until then expect sunny skies and high temperatures in the 70s. If you’re planning to go to the parade on Saturday, dress in layers because it’s going to be around 50 degrees when the parade gets started.
