Work on the new Golden Gate Petroleum gas station has begun in the parking lot of the Gardnerville Walmart.
The company received approval of its design review from the Gardnerville Town Board on Aug. 6.
The gas station’s plan was revised down from 3,200 to 2,597 square feet, with the addition of a automatic car wash.
The restaurant associated with the station will also have a drive-through. The business is the first associated with the Walmart, which opened in February.
