Bruce was born January 17, 1937 in Kingman, Kansas. Bruce’s family moved to Cortez, Colorado during the time he was honorably serving in the U.S. Navy as a photographer in the Hurricane Hunters in Jacksonville, Florida and Bermuda. Bruce joined his family in Colorado after he was discharged, where he met and fell in love with Frankie DeGraff and spent the rest of his life by her side. After Bruce and Frankie were married, they moved to Southern California where Bruce worked for Farm Credit Services until retiring in 1998. Bruce was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association, loved photography and spending time with his family. Bruce is survived by his wife Frankie of Gardnerville, daughter Leslie Smith of Carson City and son Scott Ravenscroft of Lake Havasu City, Az. Bruce is also survived by his brother Max of Gardnerville, sister Marian of Pueblo, Colorado, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Calvary Chapel of Gardnerville at 1004 Dresslerville Road on Saturday, July 19th at 11:00 am. Internment will take place at the Fernley Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Reception to follow in the Pinenut room at Carson Valley Inn.
