Woman killed in accident north of Tonopah

NHP PhotoA 2000 Mercury Mystique involved in a fatal rollover on Highway 95 north of Tonopah on Saturday.

A Tonopah woman was killed Saturday morning in a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 95 in Esmeralda County.

The accident occurred 11:20 a.m. when a 2000 Mercury Mystique occupied by two people, was westbound on the two-lane highway.

The Mercury exited the north portion of the highway, overturned and ejected the passenger who sustained fatal injuries. The passenger was identified as 50-year-old Sandra Del Pilar Jensen of Tonopah.

Troopers from the Nevada Highway Patrol were dispatched to the accident, which was about three miles north of Tonopah near mile marker 4.
