Who do you trust with your life?
March 14, 2014
Are you looking for something or someone to trust? Or, are you looking for something to help you have courage to make it through your pain and sorrow?
The answer to these questions is Jesus Christ. You can trust Jesus. He will help you and comfort you. Jesus also said that He would never leave us or forsake us; that means he will always be there for us.
In the Bible, Paul quoted the Psalms when he said in 2 Corinthians 4:13 “I believed therefore I spoke.” Paul was always ready to tell people about the good news of Jesus Christ. I think that Paul was so secure in the Lord that he had no fear of man at all. He felt compelled to speak. He knew that Jesus would take care of him no matter what. I also believe this. It has taken a while for me to get here and I am still not perfect by any means, however, I know my Savior lives and that he will help me through anything that comes my way.
I was talking with my dad the other day and he and his wife are both believers, my mother passed away a few years ago and he remarried. He was telling me that his wife was going into surgery and they were both worried about the outcome and what if something goes wrong. I reminded him of Jesus’ promise of help and Heaven waiting and asked him what the worst case scenario would be? If she happened to die she would be in heaven and that would only be a better place for any of us. We would miss her but she would probably not miss us.
This talk about heaven is not just something that Christians say, this is the truth. I have also been involved in many memorial services for people who have faith in Jesus and for those who don’t know about Him. By far the people who know about Jesus and have put their trust in Him are better off emotionally and spiritually after a death in the family.
So, now the question is, do you want to trust Jesus with your life and put your faith in Him? In Romans 10:9-10 it says, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
You can do this right now on your own and then begin trusting Jesus with your life and your problems. I know that for me some of the hard times I have been through, I don’t know how I could have made it without Jesus helping me. So please, I beg you let Jesus into your heart and begin a new life trusting and relying on the Lord Jesus Christ.
