Walker earthquakes felt in Gardnerville

A swarm of earthquakes between Walker Lake and Schurz were felt in Gardnerville early Saturday morning. The biggest quake was 4.4 magnitude located just east of Highway 95 just south of Schurz at 7 minutes after midnight.
It was followed by five aftershocks, the largest of which was magnitude 2.2. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, The quake was felt as far away as Reno and South Lake Tahoe.
No damage was reported as a result of the earthquakes.
