It’s chilly out this morning with the car thermometer hitting 32 degrees near Genoa Lane and Highway 395 at about 7 a.m. The NDOT thermometer along Highway 395 confirms it was 33 degrees at 6 a.m. The lows are going to bounce up and down between the 30s and 40s this week.
A neighborhood dispute that turned into an altercation at a Stateline residence will be the topic of a trial that started this week. Fighting charges of elder abuse is Jeffrey Spencer, 50, who is accused of knocking down an elderly neighbor in May. Spencer said he saw someone in his driveway and thought it was a burglar. He shouted for the man to identify himself and when he didn’t, knocked him to the ground.
The Dangberg Jubilee starts today with a historic clothing exhibit 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. There’s a concert on Sunday, with tickets $10 for adults. For more information, call 783-9417.
