At Gardnerville tonight
Gardnerville Town Board members will be looking for a raise from Douglas County commissioners effective July 1, according to the town agenda for 4:30 p.m. today. Board members will also hear a final budget for the town, discuss its capital improvement plan, and hear a request to modify conditions for The Ranch at Gardnerville dealing with the Martin Slough maintenance path. The final item for the evening is the Town Manager Tom Dallaire’s evaluation. The town board meets at its offices located at 1407 Main St.
In court this morning
A woman who admitted to using the debit cards and checks of an elderly dementia patient in 2008 is scheduled to appear in Douglas County District Court this morning on a probation violation. Danah C. Cain agreed to pay more than $6,000 restitution as part of a plea bargain five years ago.
Moist May, so far
Indian Hills appears to have been getting a lot of rain from this storm with .68 inches recorded as of Monday night since the storm began on Sunday. Sheridan Acres got .51 inches during the two days. Carson Pass picked up 5 inches of new snow according to Natural Resource Conservation Service telemetry, adding 1.2 inches of moisture to the snowpack. Ebbetts Pass saw .8 inches of precipitation, but the snow pack is down below 5 inches.
