Probation violation hearing
The former manager of the Minden Dairy Queen who admitted taking nearly $28,000 from his employer in 2010, is up for a probation violation hearing this morning in Douglas County District Court. Carl Franklin Wilson, 45, agreed to pay back $27,828 in restitution.
A 37-year-old Gardnerville woman who has had battles with alcoholism and methamphetamine is seeking diversion. Amelia K Adair is expected to plead guilty this morning to one count of fraudulent use of a credit card after she ran up $2,141.32 on a family member’s credit card without permission. If Adair isn’t qualified for diversion, then she faces a minimum of a year in prison.
Helping the neighbors
East Fork firefighters responded to an apartment fire in Carson City on Saturday night and helped cover the capital while the blaze was extinguished. Five firefighters on Engine 12, Truck 12 and Battalion Chief 10 helped with the apartment fire on College Parkway and Carson Street, according to East Fork Deputy Chief Dave Fogerson. “We are also providing coverage of Carson City with five firefighters on Rescue 14 and Engine 6 while crews are committed at the incident.”
