I took a drive down to Angora, which was the scene of a shooting call last night. No police or media presence left by 7:15 a.m. Sheriff’s spokesman Pat Brooks in on the case and we should hear about what’s going on here in a bit. There is a report that a man was killed.
State testing data will be a topic of discussion on today’s Douglas County School Board meeting to be held 3:30 p.m. at the Douglas High School media center. Adult and regular diplomas earned over the summer will also be awarded to graduates in attendance today.
Planning commissioners will discuss a special use permit for Kids and Horses at 2869 Esaw in upper Johnson Lane 1 p.m. today at the historic Minden courthouse 1616 Eigth St.
A 44-year-old Topaz Ranch Estates man will be in Douglas County District Court today seeking funds for resources to aid his defense. Gary W. Wilson is charged with attempted murder in a July 11 shooting. The victim received superficial injuries.
It will be sunny today with a high in the upper 80s, and a southwest wind 5-10 mph shifting to the southeast later this morning. We’ll see 90s starting Wednesday.
