A 19-year-old Gardnerville man could go to prison depending on the nature of a probation violation he stands accused of in Douglas County District Court this morning. Matthew James Ball admitted last year to taking $3,500 from his brother’s girlfriend after she gave him a place to stay.
Lake wind advisory
There’s a lake wind advisory going into effect at 8 p.m., with 2-4 foot waves expected on Lake Tahoe. The highest waves will be on the west shore from Dollar to Rubicon points. Forecasters warn small boats will be prone to capsizing and should remain off the Lake until the wind dies down on Wednesday morning.
It was 50 degrees out this morning, but today isn’t expected to get quite as warm as it did on Monday when the high hit 83 degrees in Minden. The forecast for today is for a high of 72 degrees under sunny skies, with the wind out of the northeast 10-15 mph, gusting to 25 mph.
