There’s an injury accident reported at 6:49 a.m. by the Nevada Highway Patrol on Highway 395 at Ray May Way and another in the westbound lanes of Highway 50 and Glenbrook reported at 6 a.m. The Ray May Way accident is being reported as a rollover by deputies on scene. It’s off the roadway.
Douglas County commissioners meet at 1 p.m. today. Besides a five-year airport management contract, they’ll also hear a report from East Fork Fire District Chief Tod Carlini about the most expensive fire season in the district’s history. They will also discuss approving $7.8 million in bond money for the multigenerational center and turning maintenance of improvements in Genoa over to the town. Commissioners meet in the historic county courthouse, 1616 Eighth St. in Minden. The meeting times out at just under three hours.
I think there may be dense fog in the Valley, but I can’t see very far due to the fog. Western Nevada is under a dense fog advisory in effect until 9 a.m. Visibility is supposed to be a half mile, but it’s thicker here. Careful going to work today. When the fog’s clear, we’ll actually get to see the sun.
